Qld Australia Flood Disaster
Kangaroos Hitch a Ride to Safety

Mateship is Never nonsense and it is not limited to humans. During times of trouble such as
the 2011 catastrophic floods that have inundated large parts of Qld Australia, strange alliances were necessary in
order to survive.
These wild and wet Kangaroos were fortunate to find a mate in time of great need. Every 'roo
survived thanks to the timely and caring mate they met up with. Whoever this bloke is in this photo, we "take
our hats off to you mate!"
Kangaroos riding in a boat would normally be absolute nonsense. Here's something for you to
consider?
These are wild animals. Yes, they are 'cute' and they have soft loving eyes. But they have very
strong tails and they also have long and three very hard nails on the end of their feet. These they
normally use for fighting and to give them grip and balance when hopping.
Can you imagine the difficulty this bloke would have had to get these wild animals into a tin
dinghy to rescue them?
All that we can say is "Goodonyer Mate!"
